Complex-Valued Neurocomputing and Singular Points
Context: Recently, the singular points of neural networks have attracted attention from the artificial intelligence community, and their interesting properties have been demonstrated. The objective of this study is to provide an overview of studies on the singularities of complex-valued neural networks. Evidence Acquisition: This review is based on the relevant literature on complex-valued neur...
متن کاملLearning Transformations with Complex-Valued Neurocomputing
The ability of the 1-n-1 complex-valued neural network to learn 2D affine transformations has been applied to the estimation of optical flows and the generation of fractal images. The complex-valued neural network has the adaptability and the generalization ability as inherent nature. This is the most different point between the ability of the 1-n-1 complex-valued neural network to learn 2D aff...
متن کاملGeneralized Helices and Singular Points
In this paper, we define X-slant helix in Euclidean 3-space and we obtain helix, slant helix, clad and g-clad helix as special case of the X-slant helix. Then we study Darboux, tangential darboux developable surfaces and their singular points. Especially we show that the striction lines of these surfaces are singular locus of the surfaces.
متن کاملLearning Dynamics of the Complex-Valued Neural Network in the Neighborhood of Singular Points
In this paper, the singularity and its effect on learning dynamics in the complex-valued neural network are elucidated. It has learned that the linear combination structure in the updating rule of the complex-valued neural network increases the speed of moving away from the singular points, and the complex-valued neural network cannot be easily influenced by the singular points, whereas the lea...
متن کاملOn Hill's Equation with a Singular Complex-valued Potential
1. Introduction The differential equation y00 qy Ey is called Hill's equation if q is a realvalued, periodic, locally integrable function of a real variable. It is very well known that the spectrum of the operator associated with this equation consists of a countably in®nite number of compact intervals of the real line. These intervals are called (spectral) bands and are generally separated...
